Tristan Thompson said he looked in the mirror last week and told himself to get back to being himself, after playing tentative trying to fit in with new Celtics teammates and recovering from an offseason hamstring injury. Thompson revealed the pick up origin of the injury that cost him training camp, before a COVID layoff for the Celtics further diminished his ability to get live action, as well as a Boston front court full of four competitive players. Thompson scored 17 points with 10 rebounds against the Kings, posting up and looking for his shot, while defense remains a work in progress for him and the whole team in terms of every possession commitment and knowing personnel.
